I grew up on a farm, helping my father in the crop fields and assisting my mother in the flower and vegetable gardens. This experience and learning led me to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Botany.
I successfully owned and operated a fragrant-flower mail-order nursery for 20 years. Unlike most mail-order nurseries, which publish colorful but expensive pictorial catalogs, my frugal catalog extensively described the flowers I grew. I once said, “I write a thousand words worth a picture in my catalogs.” Today, I have the same writing style (thankfully with fewer words) through a variety of enjoyable and informative ebooks. This time, the books include color photos of each flower.
